One of the easiest ways for someone to steal your information online is through something known as a Keylog. This can be installed on your computer in many different ways (malware, virus, API, webforms), but in end it will have the same effect, the keylog will track all of the keystrokes you enter on your computer.

On April, 23rd 2005 a brief 18 second video was uploaded to a video hosting site called YouTube. If you had to guess I'm sure you would say that this must be promotional launch video or a brief advertisement for the soon to be multimedia behemoth, but you would be wrong.

According to a recent study released by Consumer Reports, 3.1 million American Consumers were victims of smart phone theft in 2013, nearly double the number projected in 2012. The survey also found that nearly 1.4 million smart phones were lost and never recovered.

Our lives may seem like they revolve around our mobile devices, and if we're being honest they really do. But isn't that the way it has always been? 20 years ago it was the pager, and then the cell phone, now the smart phone. Lets face it we are hopelessly in love with technology, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Ah yes the educational movie during class, there truly was no better feeling than walking into a classroom and seeing one of these sitting there. Just knowing that for the next 45 minutes you could sit and relax would instantly brighten your day. Who knows, maybe one day during a staff meeting the boss will roll in one of these and you will be able to experience that feeling once more.

As we see 2013 moving further and further away in the rear view mirror, I wanted to reflect on one of the most significant technology advances in 25 years that occurred full swing last year. It is now not only easy but extremely prudent for small to medium sized businesses (SMB) to move to the cloud right away!

Traditional infrastructure is extremely vulnerable to a number of threats including, viruses, human error, hardware failure, software corruption, power outages and unforeseeable natural disasters such as floods and fires. The beauty of the cloud is that if a business loses data for any of these reasons they can be back up and running immediately.

Last week the Security and Exchange Commission shut down a worldwide pyramid scheme that was targeting Asian-American, Hispanic and foreign investors promising high returns for investments from cloud computing services. WCM and WCM777, the companies behind the scheme, raised more than $65 million in 2013. They promised gullible investors that they could double their money in 100 days by investing anywhere from $300 to $1,999 in cloud services.
